This is really just to view from the outside but an important part of the local history. You can't miss it, as it is right in the centre of old and new parts. They do sell the sugar cane locally and it is used in quite a lot of the local dishes.

We go here often for breakfast, a snack or just a coffee or beer. Superb coffee, the cheapest in Frigiliana but closed in the evening. Lovely staff (husband & wife I think) good simple food & tapas, amazing views down the deep valley towards Nerja, complete shade or sun - the choice is yours! The building itself is very nice if you appreciate old industrial architecture, but the best part is the view from the garden. It ofres an amazing view of the gorge running by Frigiliana.
Strictly speaking it is an imposing large building with some associated history, but..you can't go inside so you are restricted to saying it's a big building by the bus stop. It does produce black honey, or honey of the sugar cane, I suspect that the processing is best left as a mystery.
This is a basic open air bar, whose main business is serving coffees, beers and wines. There are tasty tapas; the quails' eggs being particularly tasty (fried, served on slices of jamon serrano and bread)
