A good museum showing how locals lived in the past. For only 1 euro entry this is certainly a good place to visit. The only problem we found was quite a bit of the exhibition is only in Spanish so we couldn't understand some of the exhibits. Other than that well recommended.
Spent a lovely time in the museum , all the old equipment from farming to olive picking , to general lifestyle , loved the little courtyard , so pretty . Enjoyed the old photos , many having the 'now' photos beneath . €1 well spent .
We have visited Mijas many times and not even noticed this amazing little Museum before. It cost a mere Euro and is a fab place to go. It explains about Mijas life way back and the local trades. There are rooms set out as they would have been way back, in Mijas. The one draw back is that not enough... 更多
It is only 1 euro to enter and worth every cent! Lots to see and educational for children. Spilt in to different areas eg land, home and so on. Good to go to on a rainy or cloudy day.
This is a great little museum to give you an idea how people from the area lived in the past. The museum is located in a traditional house around a pretty courtyard. Rooms are furnished to the period. The main floor has equipment to show the traditional ways for pressing olive oil, making wine, weaving baskets and threshing grain. Unfortunately... 更多
Visited this small museum which has an original Spanish house, really interesting. It is a small museum containing some clays models of times gone by but a lot of love and thought has gone into it. Very little English translation to explain things but a particularly helpful and interesting guide was more than helpful in providing explanations, this may however... 更多
Amazing value for only 1 euro, and you get good insight into what life was like for agricultural folk 50 - 100 years ago. You get good idea of how olive oil was made from seeing the machinery and other products, and how the apparatus has changed over the years eg. from donkeys to electric power. Some of the information... 更多
I was visiting with my dad, we can both agree that the content of this museum was worth paying more than a measly euro upon entry. It has old equipment from the time where mijas was mainly farming land. It had helpful models indicating the uses of different contraptions used by the farmers. In the centre of the museum there... 更多
a fascinating insight into life in mijas in days of yore. it seems to have been particularly gruelling for the women though my wife tells me it was ever thus. tools and machines on display which would not have looked out of place in the 19th century were still being used in the 20th. the museum is housed in a... 更多
