Went there during our time at Cafe De Tirreni. What a wonderfull and majestic place. Even got a little tour of the entire building, however the monk was speaking very little English so it was more a guessing game of what the intention of his stories were.
The Benedictine monks or parishioners must have had a lot of money as this monastery church is very grand. The interior is very fancy with beautiful marble work. Worth a visit if you are passing by.
We were also staying at the Hotel Scapolatiello and had time to walk through the village to the church. Beautiful historical property if you can arrange a tour do it the moment one steps in side of the church the scent is of polished wood.

The monastery is open for tours in the mornings. Beautiful place but no information in English so try to find out before you come to make the most of it. Visited some rooms in the monastery, the crypt and museum but not the church as there was a service going on.
