Peaceful. One must hang around there. Morning walks are wonderful. The best part is that there are not much of religious activities or 'Karmkands" here on these ghats. No pandas.. no one to bother you. Go for boat rides. Sahastradhara must be visited. Boats take you there. Not expensive.
This is India! There is a small Shiva Temple at the west end of the ghat. Chanting and drumming begin at about 5 PM. Local people gather, chant and pray. You can get the Shiva mark on your brow if you like, for a 10 INR donation. Just sit and experience the scene!
Started the day at 6:45 PM at the Narmada ghat for sunrise. We thought we will have a good sunrise view, but, were shocked to see an amazing sunrise! The Sun rose on the opposite side of banks from where we were standing and the whole walls of the palace was illuminated. The Narmada ghat is were Snehidhane song from... 更多
Visited the ghats with family and friends.. NYC scenic and serene place... Boating activity is available .. sunset is.worth watching .. But some food for fish.. u will enjoy the act .. Narmada has not been kept clean that needs to be curbed.. Overall a NYC place ...
Very clean. Spic n span. It's overlooking the rajah's palace and the royal temple so upkeep is great. Avoid on a Holiday and sun days when locals throng the temple n ghat. Boating is great for the laid back romantic folks.
The temple/fort architecture at Ahilyabai Ghats would remind you of Varanasi. Situated on the banks of Narmada, this place is around 55+ kms from Mandu. The MP tourism resort (on the banks of Narmada) is the best place to stay. You get enough parking space, gardens, pools & well built rooms. Signs of ageing do reflect on the overall the... 更多
Totally loved the place as there were no pandits who will take money for puja. Peaceful and good place to enjoy ancient temples and narmada ghat.
