Enjoyed the History of the Pest House in the Old City Cemetery. Seeing the items in the house opened up some questions from my kids. They got to see how a trip to the doctor's was like back in old days.

We learned a lot about early 19th century medical pracitices when we visited this location. The Doctor who operated this facility was very important to the community and as a Quaker he saved a lot of lives impacted by the war. He was way ahead of his time in medical innovation.
This cemetery is so enjoyable you may run into school groups here for school trips. This isn't just a cemetery, it is a living museum. There is always something going on here.
