We got a membership for the discovery museum and go here once a week. My 13 months old baby boy loves to play there :) we will usually spend 1-2 hours there. Our favorite is a baby room and music room in the back. It gets crowded later in the afternoon, so we usually go in the morning.
It's overpriced and small but toddlers seem to love it! If you can afford it and have a toddler you should buy a year's pass. They charge adults as well which is ridiculous b/c you really do nothing except watch your toddler play and try to engage them in the learning activities the museum provides. It's WAY overpriced! But if... 更多
My wife and I took our two 9 year old granddaughters, and were very impressed by the facility. We learned a lot, especially about the African presentation, early American areas and native American presentation. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and informative.
The one in Richmond is so nice, but we had to take a day trip to C-Ville, so thought we'd stop here with our granddaughters to make the day more interesting for them. It is much to expensive for what it is, however; and what it is, is disappointing! Very small, not really much for the kids to do there... 更多
What a cool way to spends a few on a Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed our toddler playing in the different areas. Each activity held our attention for ten to fifteen minutes. My little one played and explored each station. Everyone else that was there was doing the same thing we where. Enjoying their kid/kids exploring and having fun.
Whenever the grandchildren need to be entertained, this is where we go. The Discovery Museum isn't fancy, but there is a real log cabin, a working bee hive, some costumes, an art space, and some exhibits in the back that change on a regular basis. We've taken our two-year-old granddaughter and everyone else up to about age eight. Additional virtues:... 更多
We enjoyed everything about this museum... (except parking). Our boys, ages 2 and 4, had a blast starting the very moment we walked through the front door. Every exhibit is hands-on and well designed to capture a child's attention and spark their imagination. Each display area seamlessly flows into the next. While not as big as other Children's Museums we've... 更多
i have been to other, what I would call children museums and this one is not as big as some but very good activities for kids. There are things for all ages. Things to build, claim on and act out. We liked the panara bread and fire house the best. They even have a working beehive. If you are coming from... 更多
Took 2 grandsons (ages 4 and 6) to this museum to help mom and dad rest up from delivery of son #3. Fantastic place for kids. Lots of hands on activities. The boys were happy from the minute we entered the door. From the toy bakery to the bee hive everything fascinated them. The apple tree and the farm produce... 更多
