If you are staying in Weston or just passing through, this is a place to stop and see technology in its early stages. Also, tinsmith was there, we purchased real "tinsel" to put on our Christmas tree!
We went to visit the Mill museum and it is certainly a great place to absorb early American technology and know-how! Stewardship and conservation at it's highest level. The volunteer Mill Guide was highly informed about the workings of the mill workings and area and town historical data. He had really good people skills and was able to keep your interest for the better part of one hour. One of the most informative exhibits I have ever been too.
Take a few minutes, nice stop in a lovely town, and very welcoming place - it a really great location, just down from Vermont Country store and the PlayHouse, Weston
Just across the square in town is a lovely little piece of very fascinating history that is not to be missed on a trip to Weston. The day we went the barn was open and you can go inside and see all the old tools that were used to shape tin and wood, and for anyone who is a craftsman,... 更多
The Mill "Museum" is in the heart of Weston, a stone's throw to the country store, playhouse, etc. The entire center of Weston is well worth the visit. You will feel like you just stepped back in time with the quaint small town charm. The Mill Museum itself is just a quick stop with beautiful views of an old mill.... 更多
This Museum brings you back to the hand made days. Before going check hours for I think the hours are different. After viewing inside , outside is nice too. You'll see what I mean when you are there.
It was a beautiful Fall day for picture taking of the Mill Museum. There were exhibits about the mill and you could take a tour if you desired.

It was so interesting to learn about the milling process, and of course the mill pond and little falls were delightful. The gentleman giving us the tour was just wonderful. We really learned... 更多
