This library features books and periodicals,of course but also contains an art gallery that showcases local artists. It would do justice to a town three times the size of Stowe.
Loved by locals. Upstairs is the local art museum and on its site is a real life one room school house. Visit and enjoy the library or just rest in the gazebo and take in the sites. Especially during foliage!

My husband wanted to do some research back from when he lived in Stowe so we found the library. I have to say that I love small town libraries as a refuge from sight seeing and this one was particularly nice.
Nice old building to look around in, and don't miss the little art museum upstairs. It is also fun to tour the two old schools next door.
The library's book sale was going on the whole week we were in town so we visited several times. What a gorgeous setting, and building, just a block or two from downtown, with a very nice staff, and selection. Check out the lovely gazebo in the front lawn, and the Stowe museum next door.
I love the fact that the library has a shelf of books for sale. I'm always buying children books. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This is one of my favorite places in Stowe.
