ghost hunters were at the bridge when we were there. Very scenic location, but no ghost in evidence...
My husband and I did a self-guided covered bridge tour on our recent trip to Vermont, which was amazing. This was our first stop on the tour. The bridge was a little hard to find, but well worth the effort. These bridges that are scattered all over the state are so beautiful!
We traveled from Arkansas & Oklahoma to find food "for the soul." And we did. The bridge is beautiful, the surrounding area is beautiful. You can spend minutes therre or hours. Whatever your desire, the Gold Brook Covered Bridge will certainly feed your soul.
We went to check this out. It's easy to get to, and there is a parking lot right next to it. There is a short path to walk down to see the water and stones. Neat little place.
This is a small covered bridge and you can drive through it. I walked down to the small stream that goes under the bridge, just be careful not to slip. Cute place for pictures and the sign that was there where you can read the history was interesting.
After going on the Lantern walk and learning about Emily, we decided to find Emily's famous bridge. Although we called her, we were disappointed that Emily did not appear for us. Regardless, it was a beautiful covered bridge and definitely worth the drive.
It's definitely worth the short drive from Stowe to see Emily's Bridge. It's quintessential New England with beautiful fall foliage surrounding the bridge.
