Some very unique crafts. I felt like a kid in a candy store, look but don't touch! At these prices I was afraid of breaking something and then having to pay for it, I walked around with my hands clasped behind my back. Not to say don't visit, the items are awesome!
They had a lot of interesting items, made of things you wouldn't expect. It's fun to check out their items, but everything was so expensive, we didn't even want to touch anything. just chopsticks were around 15$ or more. Very creative crafts though.
You need to at least come to browse at Stowe Craft and Design. There were beautiful bags made of materials in unexpected ways, well-designed clothing, unusual pieces of jewelry, sculptures both elegant and "funky". This is Art Vermont style,this batch of shops is perfect for Eye Candy Ideas that you will want to go home and get crafty.Refreshing to live with joy of imagination.As well as the Wild Flower shop.Perfect for gifts,for any reason.
This was a lovely place. My husband and I did not make a purchase here on site. However, we did take a business card because we are interested in potentially purchasing some light switch covers with cool designs on them.
What a surprise to wander into Stowe Craft Design today. It's located right at the 3 corners stop intersection in downtown Stowe and we had a great time. Rachel Walsh manages this gallery of art and she could not be more knowledgable and enthusiastic about each piece of artwork ! Every time I'm in Stowe I drop by this gallery and check out the new items and see some of the usual things there. The jewelry is really pretty with impressions of flowers and vegetables., the plaques are cute and the various other items are fun to see.
If you have some spare time while visiting Stowe this is worth an hour. The design center in particular had some beautiful craft items and a simply fantastic display of museum worthy Kaleidoscopes. .
Well worth your time to visit the little cluster of stores and metal working shops with outside art pathway. It was beautiful and some items were just museum quality. We loved it.
