We went for a nearby, after Thanksgiving dinner hike. The hike was just the right distance on a cold windy day. There are lookouts views of Lake Champlain. We were fortunate to see a couple of peregrine falcons.
These well maintained trails wander all through the woods, with viewing points and benches that overlook Lake Champlain. Hiking around these trails was easy. Parents could hike with their young children with no problem. There are some wonderful views. If you had the time, you could become familiar with the trails. It's just a beautiful spot. The paths are well kept and there are elevation changes to give you some nice exercise. As a newcomer to the area, I did get lost a few times. The paths don't exactly conform to the map and they are not marked. I wasn't worried about being stranded in the forest buy it could cause... 更多
Red rocks park holds a lot of fun memories from my childhood in and I was not disappointed with my return visit after not visiting here for 20 years. The trails are easily navigated and the view of the lake are fantastic!
