This is one of the best "bang for your buck" hikes I've ever seen. The hike up is very easy although you should have good shoes as there are some rocky sections. After a relatively short hike, you reach the outlook which provides an absolutely incredible view. If you're going in the autumn, expect the Outlook to be fairly crowded.... 更多
Gotta try this at least once :). Gorgeous views and ice caves. It can be a challenge if you're not used to climbing up rock ledges. There are some repelling areas to conquer. At the top it's wonderful to just sit and take in all the beauty and serenity Vermont's famous for.
We did this as a night hike on a new moon. It was an awesome! The trail is relatively moderately sloping so not completely unreasonable even if you are out of shape. We only had two head lamps for the three of use which was a mistake, but we made it. On top you could see soooooooo many stars. Afterwards... 更多
This is a great "short" but moderately strenuous hike. By short I mean it took me about 1 1/2 hours to the highest point then about 1 1/4 hours to return to the parking area. The hike itself is not overly strenuous but also not for the physically inept since there is not a groomed trail. It is also not... 更多
this trail is great for a morning or afternoon hike. The trail is steep in places and you need to watch the roots and rocks. This trail is mostly shaded all the way up.The view from the top is average but, the trail has a good feel and worth the trip
This place is one of our go-to trails for when we only have an hour or two but are feeling the need for some exercise. Not too challenging or strenuous (if you're in shape, it's a breeze). The last little bit requires some scrambling to the cliffs and overlook. it's a great view to the south, east and west, looking... 更多
This is a moderate hike through the woods behind mcgraths irih pub. When you get to the top the view is amazing. Wen you get back to the bottum there is a place to get your favorite beverage.
This trail can be picked up right next to the inn at long trail. It's worth the effort. It shouldn't take more than an hour to climb. Bring some water as it can get a sweat going depending on the time of year. I like the view when the foliage is around peak but it's good even in the summer.
The small parking lot to the right of the Inn at Long Trail (McGrath’s Irish Pub) is right at the mouth of this trail. We are active semi-novice hikers and found the ascent to be quite moderate at a leisurely sub-aerobic pace (one hour). The end of the trail opens onto a massive overhanging rock, with a nearly 360 view... 更多
