There's always someone in the family that loves horses and this is an easy, well-maintained breeding farm, usually with several little foals to enjoy, as they run and play. Sometimes there is a container where you can put your choice of name for one of the young ones. The kids always like coming up with crazy, unusual names. We could... 更多
We used to take our own children to Morgan Horse Farm. Now, 25+ years later, we are taking our grandchildren. These animals are majestic up close and from a distance. For a couple dollars, a family of four gets personally guided tour detailing the history and current uses of these grand thoroughbreds. Be sure to enter the annual drawing for... 更多
Wonderful guided tour, lots of info. about the Morgan breed. Questions were invited. Could walk around after the tour and see the horses in their stalls or outside in the paddocks. We saw a family have a picnic in the parking area, in the shade under a big tree...great idea!
My kids and I visited the farm. I love horses and was looking forward to seeing them! They are gorgeous! We had the guided tour, and our guide Julia was delightful. My youngest daughter was scared of the horses, but Julia took the time to reassure her. Now it would have been better that her boss didn't call her rudely... 更多
We just drove through the town when we decided to back track to visit the UVM Morgan Horse Farm. It was a pleasant surprise. We got there after the last guided tour and we were invited to wander through the stables. The horses are beautiful! Their stature is slim and tall. They are often trained to race sulkie carriages. There... 更多
Our guide was really nice and informative. We learned the history of Morgan horses and then got to watch some training and even pet them. A must for every horse lover!
The short tour and ability to freely wander the grounds allows a relaxing yet informative introduction to the Morgan breed. See a foal, yearlings, a few "prime age" and at least one senior Morgan in the lovely, well preserved wonderful big white barn. The staff on the grounds are knowledgable and really interested in answering your questions.
What a great place. Take a guided tour to get the best out of it, the buildings are very interesting, the horses are beautiful and the staff / students are very helpful, polite and knowledgeable about their subject, it is well worth a visit, support the Morgan!!
