We didn't have the desire to drive 45 minutes to go for a mountain hike while visiting Burlington, but we did want to at least walk in the woods. This spot had some great trails that we wandered for quite some time and it was just what we needed! The trails were clean and well maintained. You could wander and... 更多
Ethan Allen's home was found under a number of additions and remodeling and what is to be seen is the best restoration of the original homestead. It's a short 5 minute drive from downtown and worth the trip! One of my favorite places to enjoy quite time and nice views of the Winooski River.
Our tour guide was terrific in sharing with us a tour of the Homestead and in helping us understand much more about Ethan Allen and his activities. If you enjoy history, this is a must!

In addition, there are wetland trails that provide a nice view of a northern wetland environment... 更多

I believe it was called "The Mast Act." All that goes on about the fire place is very interesting. Our guide was the... 更多
Had great trails to walk or hike, but you could walk near the house to see it. There isn't really alot of factual, historical knowledge about Ethan Allen, so I wasn't impressed with this attraction for history but looks like a great picnic spot or hiking area.
Next time you come, please take time to visit the museum and take the tour. As others have commented, there... 更多
