We were told to see the geyser while in Green River. It was interesting, but not worth going out of your way. I wish I could have seen the geyser go off, but it only happens maybe twice a day.
This place is absolutely gorgeous. It requires a trip down a long gravel road but is a place the is a must when in the area. The myriad of colors will overwhelm you with what nature can show off.
It is interesting but it is hit or miss if one sees it go off. I have been there several times and love it when it goes off. The drive to the Geyser is short and worth seeing the mineral deposits tatgo to the river. It is like lace work.
To many people have thrown rocks down the tube over the years and barely any water comes out any more. Used to be cool, now it's just depressing. Best mineral shelf formations still present, but everything was all but dried up.
I have stopped by to see the Crystal geyser numerous times over the last seven years. Unfortunately, I have only caught several minor eruptions of from anywhere from 1 to 2 feet. Usually, it's just a bubbling spring. However, the eruption of the Crystal Geyser, is only one reason to visit this site. The travertine formations around the geyser, are... 更多
Chances are you won't see it go off, it goes off about once every sixteen hours, I guess. Nice little area if it's not occupied by local campers or if you can find a place to dip into the river. Not as well signed as they said it is, I took a wrong turn down some guy's road.
This is a beautiful spot along the Green River. It's perfect for an afternoon of canoeing or a few days camping. The fishing is said to be excellent, and there's little around to bother you but cows. The geyser itself is powered by carbon dioxide (a cold geyser) and erupts about once a day. The strength of the eruption is... 更多
If you take the winding road to the Crystal Geyser, be aware that you may not see any geothermal activity. This geyser is NOT regular. The setting is great and you could plan a picnic so that your trip is not wasted. We waited more than an hour, no luck. But no one claims that you will be lucky. Enjoy... 更多
We just wanted a place to get out and stretch our legs on our long road trip. This Geyser is worth a stop to admire the geological changes that the geyser has made to the rocks and surrounding area. I love stuff like this, so it was worth a 30 minute stop. Geyser started bubbling as soon as we arrived... 更多
One of only 3 or 4 cold water geysers. Easy to get to on dirt roads but can't always count on an eruption, they are very irregular but still an interesting find.
