The cliffs and alcoves around the "toadstools" are beautiful and interesting too. It's a good hike for kids who can climb all over the rock formations. The off- trail exploring in the nearby washes is also fun and rewarding. We saw many wildflowers in April.
Easy access, short hike, interesting formations if you haven't seen a lot of this kind of thing. We were in Utah previously at other places where the formations were similar so it didn't stand out in that sense - although this was very easy to get to. Kids could do this hike no problem
We thought this was kind of our hidden treasure... guess the world has found out about this place. It is one of the most unique places we have been to. From a well marked parking lot just off the highway this is an easy short hike to great scenery. The trail is well marked, although you really can't get lost. Stay on the trail to prevent damage to fragile vegetation please.
Located adjacent to Highway 89, the parking area is easy to access and the trailhead is plainly marked.
