The service is always top notch and the food is consistently fresh and good. Nothing fancy here, just good home cooking. Expect a short wait on week nights, a respectable wait on normal weekends and on Baylor game weekends???? Bring your patience!
It was extremely hot when we visited, and I was a little concerned about the "walk" that was described in other reviews, but not to worry -- it's very short, and the majority of the tour and time with the guide is indoors. So, so interesting!
A very tiny visitor center that can get a little packed, but very knowledgeable staff. Very into what they are showing you. A nice dig site with a surprise or two. They can accommodate handicapped or limited mobility visitors.
We were on a summer road trip and this stop was perfect to break up the trip and give us another excuse to walk off kolaches from West. The welcome center is very small and barely held the visitors wanting to wait for their tour in air conditioned comfort. The Rangers were a bit overwhelmed with the number of visitors... 更多
The price is very affordable. there's a small building by the parking lot where one can buy tickets for the tour. It's a short walk from there to the building that actually houses the fossils. The fossils themselves are neat, and an intern was there in the building working on gluing some fossils together. The tour guide was very educated... 更多
Definitely do this! It is really amazing and our guide John Proctor was excellent. No entry or parking fees but a small tour fee. It is a short shaded walk to the dig site with golf carts available for those with disabilities. The room is air conditioned with murals to get a realistic idea of their size.
We stopped here on a trip through Waco with our 6 month old and loved it. We did the guided tour and learned a lot about the history of the area during the ice ages (Texas was more of a grassland) and got to see actual Mammoth bones in the ground. It was hot outside, but most of the tour... 更多
Very informative and very well-done exhibits. We enjoyed the tours by an informative staff. Glad the main exhibit site was air-conditioned due to the heat in Waco.
