This is one of the last places that you can actually drive your vehicle right on the beach. It can get pretty crowded, so it's better if you visit after Labor Day. You practically have the beach to yourself. Just be aware of the tides so you can enjoy low tide to look for seashells and driftwood.
We entered this area using Beach Access #5. They do not accept credit cards but you can go to Beach Access #3 to pay through credit card and use that in any beach access points. Taking pictures on the sand dunes on the way if awesome. The further you go, the more sand you see. You think it would be boring but if you are into sight seeing, its an experience.
It was great to pull in and be able to be on the. Beach. We rented a small car and we had to leave as the tide was coming in. It's nice down by #6 not so crowed.
Just like folks say, there are soft spots so any 4wd will have no problem but many people have small cars so just stay on the packed stuff and you will be fine. Take your time and wait for the other vehicle to go by. Some 2wds get impatient and try to dart through the soft stuff. Bad idea. I... 更多
