We took a 13-year-old who had just taken Amtrak from D. C. to New Orleans. He found it fairly boring until we got to the actual old train car. I think it would be much better for younger children - under 7. It had some interesting items on exhibit but not enough to hold his interest.
We had a discounted admission voucher, so we decided to visit. There were small displays throughout, but my daughter was drawn toward the engineer controls. A mock-up of the engine room to go along with it would have been a nice addition. I personally liked the outside model train town they had set up outside. Unfortunately, they didn't have any... 更多
We decided to go as a family for our son's 3rd birthday. We were surprised to find that it is just one very small building with a few things on the wall, and some non-spectacular historic items in cases. Nothing really stood out to me. There are a couple of trains on the grounds you can look at, but they... 更多

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. The entry fee was very reasonable and their exhibits where well presented. Getting to see how the... 更多
If you are in the area, interested in railroading, and have an hour or so to look at some old stuff, drop in. After ponying up a small admission fee, you can peruse display cases containing relics from days gone by, including several dedicated to railroad hobo's which are particularly educational and interesting. There is also a video presentation detailing... 更多
This is such a little gem in unexpected downtown Rosenberg! My sister, her husband, and I took the tour and enjoyed the informativeness of the guide as well as his infinite patience with the mass chaos that were the unattended children during his presentation. We absolutely loved walking through "Business Class" on the (now) air-conditioned car of an early 1900s... 更多
This is one of the nicer train museums we have visited in Texas. Nicely arranged, with an informative guided tour. Among the unique items are an old railroad workers' Bath House, a concrete lineman's phone booth, a restored Train Control House Station, Model Train Room with an elevated perch for the kids to observe the trains, Private Company Train Car... 更多
