We had been meaning to visit this place for a while but had not had a chance until recently when we decided to incorporate a visit to Carlsbad Caverns and the Big Bend area. We had a late start and got there at noon. We are from southwest Texas and are used to the heat but I was not ready... 更多
We loved the park and enjoyed the sledding. Sadly ms Chavez was very unfriendly and short with us. Come on people...hire a friendly person to work he desk at a park. It seemed like we and the other families there were interrupting her quiet day. Rude.
I went for the photographic opportunities and I found plenty. There weren't many people there and I'm glad of that. There's picnic areas, camping areas, bathrooms, and vending machines in two different places. Good times for the whole family!
Camped in an RV. it was a nice place to stop for the night, take a sunset walk, and drive on in the morning. We hiked the dunes, and many in the day use area were sledding the dunes.

Its a long drive to get here. A memorable experience. We saw a woman dressed as Rey from Star Wars being photographed in the beautiful dunes. Keep in mind it is very windy. You will get very sandy. Bring chapstick, eye drops and water.
