Nice gardens, gift shop, and children's play area. Great spot to see what grows in North Houston and to plan your garden.

Went back here after an absence of a year or two. It's always been a great place, but the newer pathways on the eastern side beyond the formal gardens are finished and really relaxing. This park offers a bit of everything - well maintained gardens, park-like spaces for relaxing or picnics, and more natural forest trails which are well surfaced
My wife and I stopped at Mercer Arboretum on our way out of Houston going home to Dallas. We're glad that we stopped and would recommend at least one visit to others. Mercer had plant sale last weekend and had wonderful choices-Roses, vegetable-variety of tomatoes 20+, peppers, herbs, native plants to attract birds and butterflies, fruit trees, succulents and yes Insectivorous plants-variety of Pitcher plants, Venus fly trap ... great place to get some rare plants
This is a family kind of place, for those that like hiking and have to take their children along. The place is well cared of and it offers trails and a nice landscaping and information.
