The Asia Society hosted an event that was given by the Smithsonian Museum last night, and it was handled perfectly. We attended a black tie gala here. The building is beautiful and inviting. The views of the city at night are spectacular. Enjoyed the art and the warm feeling of the building itself.
Went to see the Drepung Loseling monks do this amazing sand art demonstration. The monks made it look easy. Guests were then invited to try doing it at a separate table and you immediately realized how difficult it is. It's a lovely building with a very good cafe and this particular exhibit was outstanding. I will definitely go back for... 更多

This museum was interesting. The lower level had a display using light, wire and resin. The upper level gallery differed from traditional Chinese art. Sexual roles were challenged in photograph and film. Pictures also showed an almost rebelliousness of young Chinese artists. The was a nice restaurant with good food.

Yuriko Yamaguchi, an artist and architect was on display. He uses LED and diferant material to make his seemingly floating prices of art. Well worth the visit. The restaurant was... 更多

When the Asia Society's new building was completed fairly recently it was a welcome addition to the community. The architecture is truly stunning. Well worth a visit.
