Imagine sailing this in her hey-day. The Elissa is a beautifully refurbished Tall Ship, lovingly cared for by volunteers. It is a very interesting tour and the museum is well done also.
Interesting history, interesting setting, good for children, esp. Best is to have fun explore area have something to eat and drink in area or on the waterfront.
Good price to walk through a piece of working history. You get to walk around most of the deck and below deck. Audio tour is included if you want to us it. If not there are plenty of informative signs all over the ship. The museum is included with the ship tour. Small, but with a lot of history to... 更多
I love tall ships, so I had to see this. It is a VERY expensive tour for what you get though. There's a little museum with semi-interesting exhibits and a movie about the Elissa that plays on a loop. If you like history, the movie was worth the time. The ship has been beautifully restored. Wish they would have offered... 更多
There is a film to watch and then you can board the ship and see it in its entirety. The ship has been refurbished by many volunteers over the years. Notice I said "Volunteers." They all need to be thanked for the tremendous work they did to save this awesome relic of the past.
We loved this Ship and the museum. It was super cool! It was about to rain when we first got there so they recommended we tour the ship first, instead of the usual movie then ship. The ship was pretty neat to see. The sleeping quarters and kitchen area. So cool! Lots of history on that boat! I love that... 更多
We were fascinated by the story of the Elissa, and her journey to where she is docked today, in Galveston. We were especially interested in going down below and seeing the quarters of the crew!
The Elissa was a good surprise tied in with the Seaport Museum. The ship has been meticulously restored and you are able to go through the ship from top to bottom, front to back. I would not recommend the Elissa to those that are not able bodied as there are multiple steep stairwells and port doors.
