We hiked up and down Enchanted Rock in less than an hour. We stayed and admired the scenery at the top. It was a fun place to explore. There are lots of trails but our time didn't allow us to hike around the bottom of the rock. It's steep at the top but if you take your time, you can... 更多
After many years we finally hiked up the rock. Two years ago we hiked up the rock along with our 2 Jack Russell's. It was well worth the hike. We have learned since them dogs are no longer allowed. Because people don't pick up after them pets. We do and i don't understand why they don't. We also have gone... 更多
We drove out to see this site but were surprised to see that there was a $7.00 charge per person to go in. It is just a large rock in the middle of nowhere. The drive to get there was nice.
The drive to Enchanted Rock is awesome, beautiful views, The park itself is very nice and very popular. The rangers were very helpful. This is a major hiking/climbing site. But you can enjoy the park without hiking.
if you're passing through and need to stretch your legs this is a quick way to kill an hour or two and get some gorgeous views of the Texas hill country.
We hiked the Summit Trail, not too difficult-we are weekend hikers and over 50. Must wear sensible shoes-no flip flops or strollers. It took us about 30 minutes to reach the top and it was breath-taking. Go first thing in the morning, park opens at 8:30. After the hike, we didn't feel guilty for the wine-tasting in the afternoon.
When we first headed to the enchanted rock location, the sign put in by the state was blinking, indicating the park was closed. However, we decided it would be a great sightseeing rfide. We were right, the scenery was great and when you crest the final hill to the Enchanted Rock location, it is an awsome sight, escoec ially when... 更多
Better strap on your hiking shoes for this one, these rocks are quite steep. I highly recommend hiking this treasure to see the spectacular views that it has to offer. However, if not a fan of heights and still want to experience the rock, there are lower trails and scenic views on these paths, too.
