This is a very nice, small park on the Guadalupe River. It was erected to honor James Kiehl a local Vet that lost his life at a young age in combat in one of the recent wars. The park is very simple, mostly just a place to swim, fish, potch in the water and picnic. It does not have any... 更多
My husband and I stopped for about an hour or 2 walked along the beautiful river and the hills around the river. The park is very small but it was just right for us for a short hike and to enjoy the man species of birds all around. The memorial for James Kiehl and all serving military was tasteful and... 更多
I drove there with two of my granddaughters, as we were getting out of my car, in an empty parking lot, a pick up pulled up right next to us, the man got out and started taking pictures of us. I rushed my two granddaughters back into my car and drove off. Why he parked that close, when the whole... 更多
A beautiful spot, for reflection, exercise and to reflect on a young life sacrificed to war. Do be careful, however, if you leave the trail...there are water moccasins, etc., in the area

I have taken my kids to this park several times. It is nice to walk the trails, and explore. It has not had more than a couple of other people there when we went. It felt like we had the place to ourselves. Nice and peaceful.
beautiful park of Guadalupe but the trails are unmaintained, great views of the river and great views of river on the drive to park, lots of wildlife.
The Guadeloupe was clear and calm the day we visited, and although we didn't float, James Kiehl looks like a great place to put in. There is a park map in the parking area, which indicates float times a take-out points. There were several cars parked there, but no people, so I assume they were on the river. A group... 更多
We visited this attraction the last weekend in March. Their publications said it was open "7AM-dusk" year-around. HA! There was a chain over the entrance, and NO PARKING signs all over the place. Sorry folks, but we ignored the signs and parked in front of the entrance! This is a very small park that would be perfect for a: wedding,... 更多
