This park has a very nice small lake. There are plenty of fish jumping, rental boats, a fishing pier, a small beach area and a boat launch. This park is smaller than most Texas State Parks but it packs in a lot of great stuff. We rented a canoe and paddled around the small lake for a while. They also offer paddle boat rentals. You can camp,in the oak trees or on the beach. After you set the camp and hit the pier and do some fishing. We love to trap the blue crabs there too. If your in to boating they have a good landing there.
We live close and go often. The park is always clean, and the staff are friendly. We've gone to walk the trails and to fish. They rent paddle boats. They have a sand volleyball court as well. In the spring, they had cooking classes in cast iron Dutch ovens. That was informative (& tasty)! No alcohol allowed on the property... 更多
This little park is one of our very favorite places to go. It's a very small state park, but it has a lot to offer. There is a small lake, with paddle boat and canoe rentals, and a fishing pier. Great park with nice camping. Some trails were flooded due to recent storms. Lots of activities for kids and they had a lady there talking about Owls. Doris was great. The dump turn was a but tricky like recent posts mentioned. No firewood was available so buy it in Bonham before you arrive. That was the reason for 4 stars.... 更多
