This was a Saturday night camp out with the intention of watching Mexican Free Tail Bats take flight. I waited too late to make reservations at the more popular parks for this. So we booked here - easy booking online. Very easy & quick check in. We tent camp but like electric/water so we don't stay in tent area. They... 更多
My wife and I spent a day at Bastrop State Park as well as Buescher State Park. Bastrop State Park is a little surreal because the effects of the 2011 fire are still clearly visible. Because of that, the scenery is not quite as beautiful as it once was, but the park is still really nice with some great views... 更多
We were camping at nearby Buescher State Park and headed over to Bastrop State Park for a day trip. First thing we did was head to the pool, which is run by Austin YMCA. This was the one disappointing thing. There was a line to get in and we had to put our names on the list. It looked like... 更多
We took our kiddos out to the playground at the park. Beautiful day to be out and about. Yes we miss the beautiful big pines that once decorated the landscape but we still love this park. It's sad to see the pines gone, but the park is still a great place to take youngsters and teach them about nature. Our... 更多
Bastrop State Park before the 2011 fires was one of the most beautiful places to hike, camp and fish. The trees are slowly beginning to mature but the park still has a way to go. Sad,,,but hopefully in a few years it will regain its splendor!
We camped here 4 nights and really enjoyed it. Site #34 in the Deer Run loop had consistent shade for tent campers. The whole Bastrop area was very nice. Pool is run by the Y, so it is $3 per person to swim if you are staying in the park. The CCC cabins look very interesting, and the park is... 更多
We enjoyed the rustic cabin where we stayed. The park attendants were very friendly and helpful. This is NOT a luxury hotel. The park has been burnt in a forest fire, and then flooded by a severe rainstorm. The area of the cabins was spared and gives a glimpse of 1933 CCC construction. The park does need restoration and maintenance.
The park is beautiful. Trails to walk, fishing and rustic cabins for spending the weekend. My husband, me and a few of our friends from Virginia and Georgia meet here each year to attend the Formula One race at Circuit of the Americas. We book our cabins all in the same area so we are walking distance from one another.... 更多
So sad to see this park in such bad condition - no golf course, sad trails, closed roads. The pool is still open. Park employees are still friendly and smiling in spite of the situation.
