We stopped here one day and unfortunately the place was unstaffed due to a training day. We decided to go ahead and walk through anyway. We had a great visit! The signs were informative. We learned a lot and enjoyed exploring and taking pictures. I'd love to come back during a reenactment and bring my grandkids. Great place! I definitely... 更多
This is a recreation of the original. There are reenactments and period demonstrations from time to time. It is worth the visit. Check for scheduled events. There is no charge, but they do have a box for donations. There are hiking trails that are easy on the knees. There is even a beach area for swimming. Picnic tables are scattered... 更多
We chose to stop here to break up the journey between Chattanooga and Apple Valley; it was an absolute gem. We arrived early in the morning and were the only ones there for the whole visit. It was fascinating to explore the fort and was so tranquil; with Tellico Lake looking amazing in the sunshine.
I have visited this park many times. There are often reenactment of the battles fought there. You can find a list of the events at their website. The fort continues to work on reconstructing the building that were once there. There is a slide presentation at the building at the entrance of the park.

We talked to three of them and they were all very knowledgeable about the history of the fort. The fort itself is very nice! Wooden walls surround the buildings. All of the... 更多

Go back in time with this historical tour of Fort Loudon. Watch a film discuss displays in the museum. Take a guided tour of the fort. It's a must see when traveling through the area. And don't miss going to the Sequoyah Birth Place Museum just across the way.
As a visitor from out of state ( from NY), I found this park to be absolutely wonderful. My brother took us here kayaking and to have a picnic. The views from the history site are breath taking. The history is rich and amazing. This is just a wonderful place!
Fort Loudon is one of our favorite road trips from home. We have stopped in a number of times when passing through or just for a fun day trip. My husband always finds something different when there. Full of history during the French and Indian War. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. Overall, a simply... 更多
