First, if you're not a hunter you MUST go by the State of Tenn. Welcome Center, particularly during Eagle watching season. The bus tour (at a very nominal fee) is great--we had Shane as a ranger and he knew everything along with uncanny abilty to spot wildlife. One can rent a boat to fish or watch birds, they are available.
We had both an afternoon tour and the morning tour. Our guide went out of his way to find the best photo opportunity. We saw 12 eagles on the afternoon tour and 32 on the morning tour. Best $20 spent!! Go to the evening bird of prey show, free to the public and great show!
So amazing to see hemlocks growing this far north in swampy waters formed when the Mississippi River backed up during the New Madrid earthquake in the 1800's. Nice nature/conservation facility. I've seen better but it has possibilities. Wonderful board walk out into the swampy area. Heads up there are lots of mosquitos because of all the standing water.

We were... 更多
The visitor's center is simple and has some interesting facts to share. There are a few local specimens to see up and personal. The board walk is breathe taking and a must.
Best viewed from the walking deck or bridge at Blue Bank Resort on Lake Drive, the sunsets at Reelfoot Lake are beautiful and a bit romantic. We took pictures every 5-10 minutes and they were ever changing, each more beautiful than the next. We had drinks and then a lovely dinner and on the deck and went back and forth... 更多
Just drove out here to check this out after hearing about it. It is out a ways. Twenty miles or so from Union City. Well worth the look. State park has a great campgrounds. Several big campers here. We stopped and fed some duck. Just a great view here. We also did the auto tour down by the wildlife refuge.... 更多
