If you like seeing History, you will love this old plantation, Spring Hill has quiet a bit to offer. Quiet, nice area with lots of shopping and restaurants.
Great history. Beautiful home and grounds. Some furnishings original. You HAVE to get some cinnamon tools while there. Reheat with a little bit of butter melted on them and they are fantastic ! I bought cinnamon rolls & chocolate chip espresso cookies. Both are very good.
The tour is very well done and informative. William, our guide, had worked at Rippavilla for 17 years and was a wealth of information concerning the house, grounds and history. We are glad we took the time to drive south of Nashville to spend the day in this area. Can be easily toured in conjunction with the James Polk home... 更多

This is a beautiful plantation home, furnished with lovely antiques. The house is supposedly haunted and several events were detailed by the docent. There were several Civil War happenings here. If you enjoy historical homes, be sure to visit this jewel!
We enjoyed our tour of Rippavilla plantation. The home is beautiful and there is a nice gift shop and restrooms on the grounds. Our guide was informative but we did not experience people in each room dressed in period clothing. I guess it is only on certain times that this is what to expect.
This is a completely fantastic site. The house is gorgeous inside and out. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and funny. There is a nice gift shop and this is a great place to host parties or weddings. Plan at least two hours for your visit and they host great events all year long. A 10 out of 10!
We are glad that the tour guide at the Carton Plantation told us about this place.
