The Tennessee Museum of Aviation is an independently operated non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation dedicated to preserving aviation history, maintaining and exhibiting historical aircraft, advancing aviation education, and to honoring those who have made extraordinary contributions to aviation and aerospace. The Tennessee Museum of Aviation opened in Sevierville on 12/15/2001. The 50,000 sq ft facility is located beside the runway of the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge Airport (KGKT). Airworthy "Warbirds" are the foundation of our collection, making this a very unique location for visitors to enjoy unscheduled flight demonstrations. Docents are available to assist visitors on a leisurely walk through our 35,000 sq ft hangar, observing a variety of magnificently restored Warbirds and offering a glimpse at some future projects waiting for restoration. We are a "living" museum, therefore our exhibits and aircraft change frequently. Browse the museum's air-conditioned exhibit gallery. A 52 foot "Wave Wall" not only traces aviation history from before the Wright Brothers, it includes the timelines of Military Aviation History and Tennessee Aviation History.

Took my son here when he was 3. He had a blast. He was so excited he didn't know which way to go. So if love planes and military planes come by here

The displays were great and informative. Wish there were more planes to see. The planes that are here are nice. Some of the planes are still being refurbished and that's nice to see. The admission price is a bit high so I hope some of that money goes toward the restorations. Also, it is very hot in the hangar.

This museum was a great find. Our 5 year old loved the hangar filled with planes of all different types. A lot of war memorabilia to look through from different wars. Could probably spend over an hour there if you don't have little kids. We got about a half hour out of it. Kids under 6 are free. $13 adults,... 更多

To begin, I must admit my bias towards the TN Museum of Aviation and all the wonderful folks who make it happen. Neal and Rhonda Melton are the proud owners and they “very personally” run a wonderful operation. When they own and fly a Warbird you actually flew in combat, it is impossible to be neutral. Neal’s special interest in... 更多

Spent a three day weekend in the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area and the highlight was the TN Museum of Aviation. They have a great display of planes and other aviation items, the people are super friendly and made you feel welcome, and we just happened to get a chance to see an old warbird take to the sky. Will definitely return.

This well displayed collection of aircraft and artifacts is interesting on many levels. The planes include warbirds and civilian craft, with cockpit displays and cut-away engines so you can see how things work. The eclectic collection also includes military chaplain's gear and intriguing models of early flying machines. Some of the craft are flyable and if you are lucky to... 更多

I'm not a big fan of aviation, but I am a history buff, so this museum was interesting. My husband and I visited here on a Saturday afternoon, and we pretty much had it to ourselves! There are two sections, and the first part has a number of exhibits, and it covers all eras, but there is an emphasis on... 更多

As a pilot I love aviation, the last time we flew in we did not get to stop. Today there was a group of Vietnam veterans were there. We listen to a few of their stories then went out to the hanger. There are a lot of planes and parts of planes to look at. An aviation lovers must see.

My son is into WWII aircraft so this was up his alley. I was amazed of how clean every area was and there is so much to read and learn. There were also cars, jeeps and other things beside airplanes in the big hanger. We got a souvenir in the gift shop. Very friendly people work there too!

My husband and son visited the museum and had an amazing time. When they arrived, there were no other visitors and they received special treatment from one of the guides - he was able to walk around with them the whole time! My 11 year old son has been studying WWII and this was a highlight of our trip to... 更多
