We have hiked this trail 3 or 4 times now. Love it. Start by hiking down some narrow rocks - requires concentration and some experience. But when you get to the bottom, the waterfall is magnificent. (If you want to just see the waterfall, you can enjoy it from the observation point at the top.) After the waterfall, you can... 更多
Me and some friends started from Fiery Gizzard Rd near the elementary school and we hiked 1.5 miles along a beautiful creek before we arrived at the rocky area which was a 3 mile hike to the intersection of Raven's Point and the Dog Hole Trail. The hike was beautiful, but that 3 miles was very slow. You had to... 更多
We enjoyed meeting the ranger at the welcome center on highway 41. He gave us a great tour on the 3-d map of the entire park and then recommended a 2 mile hike based on our request to see waterfalls. Although it is extremely dry, we did get to sit and meditate at the only waterfall that had water running.... 更多
My sons and I took our second trip to the park this weekend and still love Greeter Falls. It's an easy to moderate trail that descends down to a beautiful gorge and waterfall (unless it's bone dry like Oct can be). The trail is great for kids ages 8 years or so and up. You should know there are still... 更多
We came by and if you arehappy withthe scenic drive to the location you will love the sc area. If the rain fall has been llw the fall might be dry but a nice clean nature type place.
Gorgeous natural wonders! We visited Fiery Gizzard, Natural Bridge & Stone Door. Breathtaking views and waterfalls. The visitor center was super helpful (highway 41 near Tracy City). So much to see and hike...did not even scratch the surface.
We did just a TINY portion of the Grundy Day Loop with our 2yo and 4yo and it was amazing. Had to carry the 2yo in a couple of places, but all of us enjoyed it so much. We'll come back when they're older, but even this little bit (to Blue Hole Falls) was incredibly beautiful and serene.
really enjoyed riding through some of the park. Grundy lakes is beautiful. Foster waterfall is worth seeing. Enjoyed just being outdoors in such a lovely place.
Foster Falls Campground: This campground felt deserted in the middle of the week during the summer. Only 2-3 sites were being used. As two females camping with two little kids, it (almost) felt borderline unsafe just because there wasn't any other families around. It is a nice campground with lots of trees. We stayed in Site 22, which was large... 更多
DO THIS! We hiked out to the Sycamore Falls on the Fiery Gizzard. Round trip took about 2 hours? But we were hustling because it was getting late and I wasn't sure how long it would take us. And "hustling" on this terrain ain't easy. It seemed like practically no incline but it's SO rocky and full of roots, you... 更多
