This is a sweet little park located right on the Mississippi River. We took an evening stroll through the park and really enjoyed it. There are Confederate cannons on display and a couple historical markers.
It is a cute little park with fantastic views of the Mississippi River, and the canons and statues are interesting, but I find it hard to commemorate the Confederate leaders and soldiers in such a 'proud' way. If I didn't know what actually happened in history, I would believe the south won the war based on these plaques.
Took a stroll before we left town. This park was right across from our hotel. Nice quiet area to sit and chat. Several historical plaques to read. Nice view of Mud Island.
An interesting piece of history. We enjoyed the walk around the park. Many people having their lunch in the park during the week, people watching was fun.
This park is a nice place to relax, enjoy the view and just slow down from all the activities in Memphis. Also, there are historical markers for history buffs
This is a very nice park downtown, during the day! We went through on s carriage ride, But like any city there are homeless, but during the day was ok, no one bothered us
Beautiful day, and a real pretty park. Had a great view of the Mighty Mississippi River. It was starting to get late and a beautiful sun set over the Mississippi River. It has some old Civil War Cannons a very nice place to sit on the benches and just unwind.
Confederate Park is located on the Bluff next to the Memphis Law School and it is a great place to take a respite from the normal tourist stuff or just rest your feet after a long walk around Beale Street or down to the South Main Arts District.
