We went on the first Thursday of the month, which is supposed to be when stores stay open late, there are vendors and live music. We went about suppertime, almost all the shops (the few we could find) were closed. We checked out Burke's Books, which was great, and the House of Mews, which is a worthy cause. There are... 更多
Cooper-Young is a quaint little area with mostly restaurants. Mostly locals come here to avoid the tourists on Beale Street. A younger crowd hangs out at CY. They have some good restaurants, but If your time is limited, it is not worth going out of your way. We did have a nice dinner at the Celtic Cross but nothing special.
Fun couple of blocks filled with a variety of restaurants each catering to a specific taste.Very walkable and people are friendly
As of title.. Seems to have a few nice restaurants around but that's about what you gotta get.. Many shops are closed.. Many are also vacated.. We visited the central BBQ for dinner. It was voted one of the best in 2015.. But I guess it's a little over rated..
This ended up being our "go to" during our visit...when we were stumped on where to go for dinner, lunch, etc....we always turned back to Cooper Yong District! Such a fun place, and a LOT of various restaurant choices (go check out The Beauty Shop Restaurant)! :)
This is a nice area to visit with some slightly different shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the lovely book shop (Burkes) and the juice bar (I love juice bar). Felt very safe during the day.
This neighborhood reflects the folks who live here. Good places to eat and shop. Great during special neighborhood events to walk around and get to know the area.
I have lived in Memphis for years, actually now live within walking distance of Cooper-Young, and have to say it is a great area filled with old time charm, and an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, a 100% vegan café, and plenty of music on the weekends. It is really a must see for those visiting, and a haunt for... 更多
My husband and I love downtowns, local restaurants, bookstores, music stores, and hippy dippy types of areas. Cooper-Young reviews made us believe we were going to be right at home in this neighborhood but the trip was a disappointment. We ate at a great restaurant, Soul Fish Cafe but the rest of the visit was a disappointment. The bookstore and... 更多
Do all your tourist stuff downtown, then come out here for dinner. Actually. Stay out here, have breakfast before heading downtown for the day, then come back for dinner. Tart was great for breakfast (we went twice in 3 days) Dinner was great at both Beauty Shop and Sweet Grass. Youg Ave Deli was okay.
