This museum did a very nice job of documenting the history of the Memphis area, from prehistoric times to the 20th century. My family and I really enjoyed seeing the skeleton exhibit featuring the bones of several modern birds, mammals, and reptiles, but it was neat to see the dinosaur fossils as well. We also loved the log cabin and... 更多
If you love learning historical facts (like me) you must take a trip to the Pink Palace Museum. We actually stumbled upon this place while sight-seeing around town. The exhibits, culture, artifacts and statues are amazing!!!
Tuesdays from 1-5pm free admission to the museum. Nice if you don't have a family membership and want to bring lots and lots and lots of kids, for example daycares. As a result it was PACKED with parties of kids who needed more chaperones. We were hoping for a quiet peaceful family visit, once the young kids and teenage chaperones... 更多
I visited on a Tuesday afternoon when admission was free, and thankfully so. The museum is nice, but severely outdated. The flow and organization is quite confusing, and I could not find a map of the layout to save my life. It appears that the museum is undergoing a major overhaul, which will hopefully improve the flow and exhibitions. It's... 更多
The theatre experience is great with 3d. Friendly staff. Lots of the place was closed; no mention of that when we came in.
This place might not look like much from the outside or have the best marketing team in the world. I was BLOWN AWAY by the exhibits and the amount of things I learned about Memphis, TN. There's dinosaur skeletons, a real shrunken head, I even bought some things at the gift shop. The museum was surprisingly large and detailed. A... 更多
I'm so glad I got to visit the Pink Palace before the huge renovation. We came here so many times when I was a child that it is often that I compare new museums to my memories from childhood. As of now, everything is perfectly preserved, like a time capsule. The gemstones and minerals still sparkle. And the Civil War... 更多
A great place to take an out of town family. Comparable to the museum in Milwaukee WI.The first floor is dedicated to natural history with displays and exhibits on dinosaurs, anthropology, and geology. The second floor contains exhibits on the cultural history of the mid-south with old time dentistry displays, civil war, Yellow Fever epidemic, and a replica of an early... 更多
