All summer and fall long great music is played. 95% are free to the public although they pass a bucket. You can bring your picnic lunch and coolers. One of the best things in Memphis.
In a city known for it's music, Levitt Shell is a highlight: free concerts featuring a wide range of musicians. I love the Shell because it brings together a diverse crowd of people who are uniting over a common love of music. Go early and get a good spot - bring your blanket and a cooler, if you like. I visited the Levitt Shell on my last day in Memphis. This is a beautiful park with several wonderful attractions. However, I wanted to visit where Elvis held his first large Memphis concert. I wanted to touch history. As I walked around the area I felt the presence of greatness. Such wonderful music has been played there. It was a... 更多
I might be a bit biased since I volunteer for the Levitt Shell but it's a truly exceptional group of people that work tirelessly to put on 50 free concerts a year in an effort to provide free, family friendly entertainment to the people of Memphis. Their mission of bring people from all walks of life together to enjoy the... 更多
We love the Levitt Shell! Each concert has such a great vibe with every generation enjoying free music. It's hard to believe that the Shell is 80 years old and is the first place Elvis Presley ever played in concert! Music and American history!

Love it, bring in your own food & drink and enjoy a free concert. Perfect date night on a budget. Kid friendly and pet friendly. This is why I love Memphis!
Being at the Levitt shell for a free Ballet performance was incredible. It's perfectly cushioned in a grove that allows for nice shade while your outside. The landscaping is well kept and they provide drinks, small foods, and restrooms. If you have the chance to catch a show there, DO IT!

Bring a blanket and folding chairs. This is a kid and family friendly environment. They do serve beer and people may get a little... 更多
