It's quite the drive on single track road to get here, but it is well worth the effort. The woolens are exquisite and the woman there the day we went was friendly and informative. Beautiful goods!
On the road back from the ferry to Iona and heading toward the ferry back to Oban, we decided to take a side trip and visit this shop. It took us ten minutes off the main road and was a bumpy drive, but it was well worth the effort. I know nothing about weaving on looms, and it was a... 更多
The weaving shed is like a working museum with many of the looms and machines nearly a century old. Visitors are welcome to look around the shed although the machines are very loud and ear defenders are supplied. Next to the production area is a small shop with a selection of woollen items for sale, expensive but beautiful and of... 更多
We walked to the weavers with our dogs. Two looms were working and you could chat to the weavers and ask questions. There is also the farm shop which sells frozen, organic local grown meat. There is also a shop selling the products from the weavers.
Nice welcoming lady, enthusiastically showed us round the weaving workshop. Very educational. No pressure to buy, but there are excellent products for sale.
Flying visit - staff were very friendly. Lovely knitware and clothing! Interesting to see the working looms and equipment. Sorry we couldn't stay longer!
The mill is wonderful and you can see exactly how they weave the different fabric. The shop is expensive yet not overpriced as the items are all worth it. The icecream and pasties were wonderful too and I love that they have an online shop so that we can buy things later on too.

Excellent quality and nice to knit with because of the natural oils and what a pleasure to knit with yarn that has not been joined by knots. Part of my sweater was knit with a very fine lace weight yarn along... 更多
Narrow roads lead to this farm yard containing a weaving shed, gift shop and local meats. coffee is "help yourself" for a donation. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Take a walk to the beach from there, we had it all to ourselves!!
Tucked out of the way this place is well worth an outing to. A Tour of the weaving sheds and a discussion about some of the looms (one of them originated close to where I live) and the current projects was followed by a cup of tea and some Island produced biscuits. The dog was also made very welcome and... 更多
