We walked here from Whitebridge where we stayed & it was such a lovely walk & the Falls are beautiful
We had been chatting to another couple in a pub and they recommended this trip. Easy parking just across the road. Need sturdy shoes as it can get quite steep. You have 2 levels to view the falls. They are quite lovely with a picnic table at the top with a board giving you the history.
The views of the waterfall are spectacular from both the upper and lower viewing platforms. To be able to stand and have the mist from the falls all around you is just something that has to be seen. Lovely walks and amazing waterfalls. Views fabulous. Wear walking boots and waterproofs. Suitable for dogs but keep on a lead (unless you can guarantee they won't run off or you'll be watching them run the waterfalls) I wouldn't take very little kids as it's a bit steep underfoot Parking (free) nearby Worth a visit
We visited the Foyers falls as part of a lovely circular walk we found in a little book. They are fantastic, there is a free car park next to the Foyers stores and the path is just opposite. Foyers is a small village near Fort Augustus. During a recent stay, we saw a sign for the falls while exploring the area. The walk to the upper viewpoint is moderate grade with some stone steps. We visited here while on holiday, staying in a lovely remote cottage at nearby Errogie. The area on the South side of Loch Ness is beautiful and Foyers Falls is well worth a visit.
