It was raining when we got here so we're not too fussed to go outside again - so glad we did. It was a long flight of steps down to the entrance, but the caves were really impressive. There is a local man there with a boat who will take the family in a boat to the inner cave for... 更多
We stopped here after a long drive through stunning scenery. We had lunch in the picnic area where there were plenty of information boards to xplain the history etc. We then took the walk down to the caves on a well thought out path including quite a number of steps. We crossed the bridge and entered the cave. It is... 更多
A lovely walk down to the cave. You can walk into the waterfall cave for free and that is spectacular enough. There is a man with a boat that can take you further into the cave as well. After the cave you can walk further up and around looking at the view out to sea and the nesting birds. Worthwhile... 更多
We took a great wee walk to Smoo Cave, less than hour - fascinating to see cave/waterfall and we were not disappointed despite the boat trip being cancelled due to high water. We took the walk up the steps/hill to see the views out to sea and up around the top of the hole in the roof of the cave... 更多
Short walk down and into the cave and you can see the waterfall. A must visit whilst you're there, got to love an underground waterfall - oh and it's free so why not!
What an interesting wee trip , Colin the tour guide was very informative and very funny too. A highly unusual , but great experience.
After 5 attempts over the years we managed to get there on a day when the cave wasn't flooded and Colin was around to give us the full tour. One word - EPIC! The tour isn't suitable kids or the elderly. A real hidden gem though.
