I walked all around the loch - about 3.5 miles. Perfect at the end of a day's work. Much of it easily accessible for wheelchairs with car parks dotted all around. Other walks into the woodlands and play areas for children and in the day a cafe. Beautifully maintained - a haven in the city.
Attended a sporting event for the weekend which is why we were visiting. Stayed at the Caravan Club site across the road which is lovely. Park is great for walking/running or cycling and very safe for the kids and dogs too. Very close to the theme park which we visited but just for the crazy golf!
We visited the park primarily for the water sports but also enjoyed a stroll around the lake, a play in the play areas, and an ice cream. The lake was nice, the newer woodland play area at the same end of the lake as the boathouse was particularly lovely and great for little ones right up to tweens/early teens. The... 更多
Staying in Glasgow for two weeks on buissiness, I found this fantastic place while looking around.. Lovely lake, with walking/cycling tarmac track around it, boat/kayak/cycle hire at waters ports centre. Came here a few times, and hired bike, very relaxing...

This is a big lake with some roads and some woodland. Really it needs updated, lots of fences broken, the club where they have the boat houses etc looks grey and unattractive. Plenty of other places to visit other than this one.
We stopped off here to pass some time during a recent visit to Scotland, we were able to get a tasty snack and drink from The Snack Cabin - highly recommended and then we fed the ducks and the swans before playing with our bats and balls and frisbee. There is plenty of space and areas for children to play,... 更多
Visited today with the dogs. Strathclyde Park is a great space if you are a walker, runner, cyclist or even if you just want to watch the world go past. A great place for families with children. Usually busy and always something to see. If the sun shines - even better.
A wonderful park that I stumbled upon during a morning walk from the Moorings Hotel where we were staying just up Hamilton Road about 10 minutes away by foot. This little gem was welcoming with its manicured pathways, quaint bridges and large lake with a multitude of bird species. I also found some Roman Bath ruins. A surprising and worthwhile... 更多
