We've visited this attraction a few times over the years and it seems to have become very run down and looks uncared for. There were only a small range of butterflies flying and the greenhouse was far too dry for the insects. There were also quite a few dead butterflies lying around the floor of the flight area. The bee... 更多
My second visit to the Butterfly and Insect World, took our three grandchildren who all love creatures, large or small. We loved it, the young girl who did a talk and how to handle creatures was really excellent, great with the creatures and the kids. She actually gave me the confidence to touch a snake, something I have been terrified... 更多
Quite expensive to get in and although there were quite a few insects and reptiles to see you couldn't spend too much time in there due to the heat- only spent about 20-30 mins so expensive for a family of 5. The outside bee area is very run down and shoud be closed to the public until its either refurbished... 更多
we took the kids here in the Easter holidays. it was good value for money. The kids got to hold a tarantula and a snake, and got lots educational talks from the friendly staff. Only downside was it was very busy and was difficult to move in the crowds with a buggy especially in the education part.
2 years since I last visited this attraction, has got better! \lots to see, much better insect and reptile part, all the animals look well cared for and healthy. Ideal if you are a photographer looking to take something different , especially on one of those common wet Scotland days! Keep a sharp eye out for the leafcutter ants at... 更多
We decided to visit here on our way back home after our holiday in Edinburgh. My four year old is mad on butterflies so it was ideal for us. The entrance fee is very reasonable. We were greeted by various breeds of butterflies as we walked through the door luckily we had bought an identification guide (only £1) so we... 更多
A lovely place - beautiful butterflies and good selection of reptiles/spiders. Area in enclosure very moist - does make taking photographs quite challenging!
Stopped off here on the way back home to the North East from Glasgow. Had been meaning to go for a while! Feels like your in a rainforest inside with the butterfly's and it's great to see them all fly around you and land on you! Kids will really enjoy it (and adults too!)
What can i say about my experience at this attraction, as a local to the area i thought it would be a lovely little treat for my 90 year old grandmother and 63 year old uncle to have a day out and a spot of lunch, As the weather was not great we decided on a visit to Butterfly and... 更多
We paid a visit to Butterfly World at the weekend and we were pretty impressed. We were excited in the fact you can walk inside with the butterflies and they land on you, etc. We really enjoyed the day out and there was the additional insect, nocturnal hoses, etc. We will return will the grandchildren. Be prepared for warm humid... 更多
