I visited this attraction with my brother, his wife and two daughters (7 and 5) on their holiday home from New Zealand. The girls had a brilliant time, longing for any butterflies to land on them. You can spend the whole day, they stamp your hand so you're able to pop in an out, maybe head over to Dobbies for... 更多
I used to visit as a child and went with my friend and her son. There was rust on railings where children could easily injure themselves, the enclosures for the reptiles looked so dated, the information panels were tatty and the customer service when we entered was poor. I was really disappointed and sad to see that this has gone... 更多
This is a great day out especially if it's a rainy day because it gives you the real tropical rainforest feel with the humidity (whilst you stay dry). I took my children and now I'm taking grandchildren. It hasn't changed in 20 years and could do with moving on with the times - a little bit expansion perhaps. Perhaps a... 更多
'Butterfly and Insect World' is well worth a visit - I hadn't been since I was a child, now visiting as a 26 year old; I was still utterly enthralled by all the wonderful beasties! The main tropical area you first enter is wondrous - you walk among exotic fluttering butterflies, tiny cute quails scurry about in the undergrowth, you... 更多
I am a great fan of butterflies, and this is a nice little half-day having a look around. There are loads of butterflies fluttering round in the hot house which are fab to watch. Loads of varieties. Also some emerging from pupae etc. There are additionally some exotic animals eg geckos, snakes, scorpions etc in the back as well. It's... 更多
I have visited this attraction several times since it first opened with my son and now with my grandchildren.Nothing much has changed and it is now in need of a revamp. The animal handling whilst enjoyable for small children consists of 3 creaturesand has for many years The toilet facilities are outside ,not ideal on a wet day and an... 更多
There were four of us plus a two year old and so the cost was almost £32 and in my opinion not value for money. If you have children between 3 and 9 or 10 then perhaps you may get better value for money because they will be hungry for learning. There are butterflies but not a large number, there... 更多
This place in magical especially if you have a 5 year old daughter who is butterfly daft. The place is very hot like the tropics. The butterflys fly and land on you and very near by, they are other animals that live inside also so a good place to visit. Check the website as they have a small animal handeling... 更多
Really great place for kids and adults, would recommend visiting, the kids loved holding the snake. The butterflies were great fun, spent ages trying to get a photo of the big blue ones. Will definitely be back.
Reptiles kept in cramped conditions with hardly any room to move. One snake was on slabs with a bowl of water! That was it! Spiders had tiny boxes too. Also value for money was terrible. £27 for a family ticket and we had seen the whole place in an hour! Shocking! Wouldn't advise anyone to go here!!
