Outstanding view. We disnt make it there for breakfast at the cafe but we really wished we had. Incredible place to start your day. Short walk up the fort entrance then cafe stop for food. Then onto viewpoint by one of the shortest lighthouses in uk due to height of the rocks it stands on.
It's a nice walk with a good cafe but that's about it.... views are ok but nothing special. If taking a dog do not let off lead unless well behaved as dog recently killed falling over cliff. Good fishing to be had from quarry car park. Fish an hour either side of high tied was small feathers feel lead to... 更多
This year was the second time when I visit Berry Head. I discover new beauties around and YES....this year we saw dolphins!!!!! Amazing views around. The lighthouse is not very impressive, but it has an important position. After walking around you can enjoy a delicious cup of tea at The Guardhouse Café restaurant . Beautiful day. The place is surrounded... 更多
As a "collector" of lighthouses this was on the list. The Berry Head lighthouse is actually unimpressive but it has a commanding postion high on the headland, hence the stunning views. A clear day gives perfect views across TorBay and along the Devon & Dorset coastline. Loads of wildlife and birds to view and both easy and challenging walks and... 更多
Walked along the nature reserve and the views are amazing. Nice views along the coastline just a shame that we did not see any of the local porpoises. Well worth the trip.
We were fortunate to visit on a sunny day but this place would be worth visiting in any weather. The views are spectacular include the nesting birds on the cliffs and all around views of the bay and out to sea. Interesting buildings, structures and plants to explore and plenty of seating provided. This is free to view but parking... 更多
We walked here from Brixham. A steady comfortable 30 minutes from breakwater beach. Upon reaching Berryhead you can take various walks. Down a slopping path to see the old quarry site which reward you with striking cliff quarry with wild birds nesting. Once inside Berryhead walls you can visit a small visitors centre to pick up maps etc and download... 更多
With Brixham so busy in the summer, it's a great escape from the crowds below. The views are stunning and it is a haven for wildlife too. There's a hive to watch seabirds, so if you pack your binoculars, you'll see Cormorants, Kittiwakes, Fulmars and plenty of others too. A lot of people visit Brixham without even realising Berry Head... 更多
