We are world travelers and take our kids all around the world. We were blown away to see an active lava lake that we could drive up to. We went twice. Definitely go at night which costs 10 dollars a person and opens from 5:30 to 7:30. There is a line of cars so you have to be prepared to... 更多
We had a rental car during our recent trip in Nicaragua, so went by our car to the volcano. Short trip from Granada, although you shouldn't expect clear indications on how to get there... Entrance fee was 100 C$ per person. During our afternoon visit we didn't see many other visitors. The visitor center is not really impressive. The view... 更多
Family of 4 traveled from Rancho Santana with a guide to Masaya Volcano. As many other reviews say, the photo's do not do this place justice! You have to see for yourself. I was a little worried about the sulfur smell, as they limit your time so you don't breathe in too much but we didn't feel rushed, had plenty... 更多
You have to come at night so the glow of the lava lights up the sky. It is an amazing sight to see lava flowing with all the smoke from the deep hole in the earth. You will have to jockey for the best viewing points and you can only stay 15 minutes at the top. Well worth it though.
This volcano is incredibly accessible and appropriate for families and individuals with disabilities. You drive all the way up to a parking lot where you can then walk to a couple of look-outs. I stopped by en route to Granada and found this a quick and easy stop. After checking in at the bottom (and taking advantage of the bathrooms... 更多
Loved this trip to the active volcano in the National Park. We were taken right to the edge of the volcano so no long walk which I was very much expecting. We were give a bottle of water in case of sulfur fumes. The lava was bubbling away. A sight NOT to be missed.
We got to see lava! We decided to take an evening tour from our hostel in Granada. The ride and wait to get to the top was pretty long. Bring some beverages, snacks or something to keep you occupied. Our tour guide, Christopher, was very informative, charismatic and genuine. Getting to the top to see the inside of the volcano... 更多
Incredible view down in to an active volcano. Smoky and hot, after a VERY long drive, we were only permitted to stay about 10 minutes as they said it was dangerous to our health.
Amazing beauty in this stop with our tour group. In a matter of minutes we went from seeing volcanic rock to actual flowing lava! It was an amazing experience that we will never forget!!! Make sure you have plenty of battery life ... You'll want tons of pics!!!!
