We camped in our RV outside Chattanooga at Harrison Bay State Park last week. The park was great and had many amenities at a low cost (less than $80 w/ tax for 4 nights). We stayed in an RV site right on the water where we could fish right out back. There is a marina, hiking trails and a cafe... 更多
The park itself is very nice with camping facilities and a banquet hall. It is very clean. I bought a swimming pool pass, and was very happy with the facility until the last couple of weeks when they started allowing people in street clothes, socks, and tennis shoes get into the pool. They have a rules sign posted stating swimming... 更多
Our camping experience was very pleasant. Some sites near the water are large and some sites are smaller; just go pick your site before registering. I recently visited Harrison Bay State Park and was really pleased to see that it is a well maintained, very safe State Park with opportunities for day only visits thru overnight camping. There were people of all backgrounds and ages really enjoying the Park.

Harrison Bay State Park is off highway 58 in the Harrison area of Chattanooga. It is a fun state park that our family visits multiple times during the year. We have tent camped there but we typically just go for the day. There are picnic tables with grills located by the lake where we like to set up and enjoy... 更多
Been going to Harrison Bay all my life. Camping, swimming, fishing, and a play park area, walking track, places for reunions and birthday parties that are covered. Over by the boat dock is a wonderful place to eat. Clean bathhouses and security. You can not go wrong by staying at Harrison Bay State Park.
Great place for boaters but campground has several deficiencies.. Many campsites are incredibly unlevel. Saw many campers unable to even remotely level their campers. Avoid section B unless your camper is small. I realize the local terrain is hilly but spreading campsites further apart would have eliminated much of the leveling issue. On the plus side the marina restaurant is... 更多
