Bring your bike and hit the best trails in miles. Beginner to Expert, in a 14 mile loop (if you do the whole thing, which you don't have to.) Great places to rest and have a hell of a view, or to really get a workout. Have fun!
Do not confuse this with the cave nearby. This place is awesome and has great views. Our cave guide suggested this place and that might have been the only good part of that tour. We did not visit damm but rather the mountain bike trails steming prom laurel point and east rim. we are mountain bikers and we love the trail cailed live wire
We drove up to TVA after the cave adventure and we enjoyed the views. The winding roads and the open skies were the site to see.
The dam no longer allows visitors to take a tour down to the turbines as it once did due to homeland security, but this is an amazing thing to consider.
