The Walnut Street Bridge is a beautiful link from the downtown side of Chattanooga to the North Shore with its quaint stores and boutiques, and restaurants. Coolidge Park with its carousel featuring carved horses, and the fountain which is a refreshing play area for kids in the summer time, also is a great place to just hang out and play... 更多
This bridge is well worth the walk getting to the family friendly park on the other side of the river. We made the trek after spending some time downtown at the aquarium. Great sites and a fun way to get some good exercise.
Walking on the Walnut Street Bridge is a "regular" activity on our somewhat frequent visits to Chattanooga. It offers the opportunity to get outdoors, get some exercise, and enjoy the beautiful views just walking distance from some great places to eat or simply have coffee.

On the North Shore of Chattanooga, there are lots of charming shops, restaurant. Also, google Coolidge Park. It is... 更多

This is always a wonderful bridge to either walk over or ride your bike over. The River is beautiful any time of day and there are nice benches to sit and people watch and rest on.
We had the best time walking over the bridge to shop and eat in North Chattanooga. The bridge is high but you don't get the fear of heights feeling that I can get on other bridges, etc. About a ten minute stroll and is so worth it.
