This pedestrian bridge is so unique! It's worth visiting Chattanooga just to see this and the surrounding area. I loved watching the children explore the bridge. The only thing is that they are currently refurbishing the bridge, so every now and then there is plank that little feet may be able to get caught in.
Great for couples, saw cute couples holding hands and taking pictures everywhere. A nice walk, not too long. We went in the winter and it wasn't terribly cold. It's probably nice year-round.
A tour guide at Ruby Falls told us about the Walnut Street bridge and that we couldn't miss it. We are SO glad he did. This is such a cool bridge and beautiful views all around.

The walking bridge in the heart of Chattanooga over the Tennessee River features splendid views, benches, signs with historical facts, an occasional musician, great exercise venue and olden day charm.
