We visited the bridge during the Wine Over Water festival and found it to be a gem in Chattanooga. You can see the city from a nice, photo worthy, perspective. Since it is a pedestrian-only bridge, you won't be bothered by motorized vehicles. Relaxing and enjoyable. We will be back for a nice walk or run in the morning.
Want a great place to see the sights on both sides of the Tennessee River? The Walnut Street Bridge, full of history, is an easy breezy walk across the river to Chattanooga's north shore after you have visited great places like the Tennessee Aquarium, IMax theater and Chattanooga Choo Choo. There are restaurants on both sides of the river, green... 更多
This bridge is great for everyone wanting to view the river, the mountains, and the city of Chattanooga. A great place to watch movies from the park, fireworks and concerts. Boards are bumpy, so be careful not to trip. There are sidewalks so that bikers can have the main old road in the middle, but you can walk anywhere and... 更多
This walking bridge is awesome. Perfect for kids or even working out. It's a good walk, which usually ends with walking to and around Coolidge Park. You can watch the riverboat go by. There are benches to just sit and watch. Great location to watch fireworks for certain events. It's amazing.
I love the idea that Chattanooga took an old bridge and made it a walking bridge. Each side of the river you can tour boutiques or eat at a local restaurant.
Spanning the river in the heart of downtown, this bridge is a true treasure! If you like to be in the middle of everything, this is for you! Perfect place to see the beauty of Chattanooga, the river, and the mountains. Close to all of the attractions, and restaurants, and over Coolidge park, the perfect place for a day with... 更多
Beautiful walking bridge to cross the river with family and meet other people walking around. Great place to watch water sport activities or you can just sit at one of the benches and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and the surrounding area
This was a fun walk There are photos that explain the area and you can watch the riverboat go by. Bike lanes and the bikers were all aware of people both 4 and 2 legs walking. Would do it again.
My family and I visited Chatty and walked across the bridge in the morning and enjoyed the shops in the North Shore district. The free shuttles take you around town but we chose to walk back over the river. Lots of runners, bikers and walkers crossing the bridge but not too crowded.
We enjoyed the walk on the bridge, even though it started raining and there was a strange scary person that kept approaching people.
