Old McDonalds Farm is a low key exposure to farm animals that is suitable for kids and adults for a hands on exposure to farm animals.
Kids really enjoyed this place. Much better if you miss the main crowd as you get to help feed baby animals and have more free reign. Very hands on and interactive. Go here each time we visit Rapid City, just a neat experience.
The kids always love a petting farm so you really can't go wrong. They have a very large and nice set up. The only negative was the prices seemed pretty high.

This place isn't cheap but we did have a lot of fun. They have a pretty nice set up for little ones. They can see goats, cows, chickens, etc... my kids when they were little loved going there. They have nice campgrounds very close.

My wife, 5 year old daughter and I had passed by this attraction many times during our visit to Rushmore (it's on the main highway to Keystone and Mount Rushmore) and had finally decided to stop and see what it was all about.
