As visitors to the area, we were told that Sullivan's Beach is a fantastic place and close to where we were staying. This beach was clean and wide. Lot's of room to spread out. The water was warm and you could see cargo ships getting closer to the shore and then turn and head into Charleston. Not many shells if that is what you are looking for. Mostly adults here, not a lot of children.
We went to Sullivan's at block 25 to see the Loggerhead turtle excavation and we were very surprised with the beauty of the beach st Sullivan's. True there are no amenities here, but you do get away from the hustle and traffic of Charleston. Small parking areas lead to quiet beaches with few people to compete with for space. Nice walking with different views depending on which street you choose. Overall, a nice break from Charleston and Shem Creek. Hint: good for children, dogs and families.... 更多
