We took this trip on the Lady Waccamaw recently. The cruise lasted two hours and was filled with the history of the rice plantations in South Carolina during the pre civil war days. If you have the time I suggest you go. You will see a lot of the rice plantations and period estates.
Had a free day in Myrtle Beach and found this tour in the visitors guide. What a lucky break! Due to the recent storms in the area, the river was very high but the tour went off as scheduled. The height of the river required passengers to go up 3 steps to get in the boat. My wife is confined... 更多
We took the 3pm airboat tour with Capt. Dale. I loved the hour long viewing of the native terrain and river. We saw a 7' alligator, a snake skimming the water's surface, lots of turtles and beautiful reflections in the water of the grasses and trees on the water's edge. We learned about the rice crop and the method used... 更多
My husband and I took the Plantation River Cruise on a beautiful October day. The boat was pretty much full, and our only regret was not waiting in front of the actual gate when we were the first to arrive that morning. We checked in upstairs at the main desk, and meanwhile a large group came in and took residence... 更多
We took the first tour after Hurricane Matthew hit the area. Because of the high water in the river we were not able to access some of the area's on the normal tour. But the tour was still very entertaining and full of stories about the area and the history of the rice plantations before and after the War between... 更多
We took the airboat ride on a hot day and it was fun! We just road around in the boat. Didn't really get any history or narrative about the area. Capt. was kinda quiet. Didn't see any alligators. It was cool when he drove through the grass. I thought it would be more exciting, but it was still a good... 更多
Very interesting, tour guide was very informative and answered any questions we had. A great afternoon. Many homes to see, we did not see any wild life . Very comfortable boat and very stable, even when other boats went by it did not disrupt the ride at all
Very relaxing and interesting 2-hour boat ride down the Waccamaw and Pee Dee Rivers. The narrator was knowledgeable and talked about the rivers, Sandy Island, rice plantations, and wildlife. The boat was covered and moved at a nice clip. Bring water and a snack if you want.
This tour was very interesting because the narrator knew a great deal about the area and provided lots of little known information. The tour was comfortable even in hot weather since the boat was covered. Bring water because none is provided.
